In this museum for medieval history of law different methods of torture are presented drastically. The museum is found in a former air-raid shelter from World war II under the Esterhazy - park close to Mariahilferstrasse beside the House of the sea.

In Vienna bakers, whose bread or rolls were underweight and did not corresponded to thus the measure, were set into a cage. This was dived then together with the baker in a barrel with water or in the Danube. The units of measurement are to be seen at the outer wall the St. Stephans Cathedral.
