The monument of Erzherzog Karl was constructed by Anton Dominik von Fernkorn in the year 1860. Erzherzog Karl was the third son of Grossherzog of Toscana, which later became Kaiser Leopold II., the brother of Kaiser Franz II./I. He conquered Napoleon in the battle of Aspern, but was conquered in Wagram.
